Center for Urban Waters Receives Commercial Real Estate Award - November 2010

The City was honored by the Washington State Chapter of NAIOP (Commercial Real Estate Development Association) at the chapter’s annual awards program on November 5, 2010, when the Center for Urban Waters was honored as Public Project of the Year.
The Center for Urban Waters is a 51,000-square-foot building housing City of Tacoma Environment Services labs and offices, University of Washington Tacoma researchers and Puget Sound Partnership staff. It is located across from downtown Tacoma on the east side of the Thea Foss Waterway at 326 East D Street. The facility was designed to LEED Platinum standards, but certification is not yet complete.
